Sculptra is a three-dimensional collagen biostimulator used to restore volume in areas with facial fat loss. It is the injectable form of poly-L-lactic acid, a substance that has been used for over 30 years in absorbable sutures and other medical applications. When Sculptra is injected into the skin, it accelerates collagen production; more collagen is produced naturally, adding volume to correct hollows, wrinkles, or folds. It is a relatively thick substance, and the volume-enhancing effect can last up to two years. Three sessions are required (monthly).
